New Ownership
Ken Lamb, son of The Tackle Box founders Howard and Lena Lamb: Ken has worked at the store since its opening in 1960 and is still active as vice president, having recently conveyed the ownership to Ben and Heather Windsor.
The new owners have thirty years' experience combined together in the store and plan to continue the business in the family tradition, providing the best possible products and customer service.
There will be no changes to the frequency of the Fishing Report!
Ben Windsor, Owner/President
Ben has been with The Tackle Box since 2008. He loves to go fishing and hunting with his wife Heather and their two sons. Ben has been fishing and hunting in the area since he was very young. Raised in Leonardtown, Maryland. Ben has fished up and down the Potomac River looking for the bite!
Ben and his wife Heather are now the new owners of The Tackle Box, Inc. They took over in July, 2025.
When Ben is not at The Tackle Box helping people and telling them where to go to catch some fish. On his off time, Ben is a full time dad of 2 boys, volunteer firefighter/EMT helping others in need. Needless to say, he wears a lot of hats.
Heather Windsor, Owner/Treasurer

Heather has been with The Tackle Box since, 2015. After joining her husband Ben, Heather started on the sales floor which led to her position as Office Manager. A few years later her and her husband became the General Managers of The Tackle Box and still upkeeps the Office Manager duties. With hopes to bring new ways to strengthen the way our customers view The Tackle Box. Heather and her husband Ben became the new owners of The Tackle Box, Inc. in July, 2025 with plans to follow the family tradition set by the Lambs.
Heather also, enjoys going fishing and hunting with her sons and husband on her spare time. Her husband Ben claims to catch all the big fish. But, in reality those are really Heathers fish he talks about.
Ken Lamb, Sales Manager/Vice President
The Tackle Box was started in 1960 by Howard and Lena Lamb who arrived in St. Mary's County in 1958 when serving in the Navy. Ken Lamb, who began as a teenager working in the store, became the owner and is now the Sales Manager/Vice President of the cooperation after conveying The Tackle Box, Inc. to Ben and Heather Windsor the new owners. Ken is still active in publicity, paperwork, bait handling, and sales and has no plans of retiring.

Todd has been with The Tackle Box since 2022, he is a St. Mary's County native and proud Air Force veteran, Todd brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our team. Todd is perfectly suited to oversee our merchandising operations and ensure that our store is stocked with the best products for our customers.

Outside of work, Todd enjoys the great outdoors especially crabbing and trout fishing.
